"Kosino Thermal Waters" is a modern health and recreational complex located along the trail of mineral thermal waters that stretches across parts of European countries such as France, Italy, Spain, Serbia, Croatia, Austria, Switzerland, the Balkan Peninsula, and Ukraine.

Solution

Our controllers operate at three pumping stations that supply water to seven pools, various fountains, cascading waterfalls, jacuzzis, and hydro massage baths that utilize water from thermal sources. We have used 6 Argon +R12 controllers, which control the pumps and water heating in storage tanks using the Modbus protocol. Temperature sensors (1-wire) strictly monitor the temperature in pools and systems supply fresh water as needed.

With the implementation of automation, the energy efficiency of the facility has significantly improved, as there is no need to raise the actual temperature to maintain the minimum declared temperature in the pools. Additionally, the system has allowed to reduce the volume of additionally heated water in the storage tanks, which has also had a positive impact on energy consumption.

For additional visualization, integration with Home Assistant has been implemented, allowing the service engineers to monitor the operation of all pumping stations and the temperature in the pools.

Considering that the pools have different loads and consumption depending on the time of day and season, as well as different volumes, automation of control and management has greatly simplified the work of the staff and significantly influenced energy efficiency.
