Creating lighting automation using motion sensors

This instruction assumes that devices are already connected to the controller according to the instruction

Automation settings: Turns on the light when motion is detectedFor the correct operation of such an algorithm you need to configure 2 automations

Create automation to turn on the lamp

● In the Dashboard window, at the bottom right, you need to select Automations● To create a new automation, click on the “+” icon● In the list that appears, select Automation

Select devices

A window opens with a list of all devices configured in the system. By clicking on the "pencil" icon in the upper right corner of the screen, you can specify the name of the automation
●  In the section With what to manage, select the desired motion sensor● In the section What to manage - the Bulb you want to turn on● Then click on the "arrow" in the lower right corner of the screen and go to the automation settings.

Configure the motion sensor

For the motion sensor, select an event from the list:
● Motion detected - the sensor detected the movement● No motion detected - the sensor stopped detecting the movement● Change state - any of the above events (for our case, select Motion detected)

Bulb settings

● For the bulb, choose how to react to the detected movement (for example, Turn on)
● After completing all the settings, click the "Save" icon.

Create automation to turn off the lamp

● In the Dashboard window, at the bottom right, select Automations● To create a new automation, click on the "+" icon● In the list that appears, select Automation

Configure the motion sensor

● For the motion sensor, we choose the event No motion detected

Configure the pause

● For Pause, select the time during which the lamp will be turned on after motion detection - 5 minutes

Complete the setup

● For the bulb, select Turn off● After completing all the settings, click the "Save" icon

Note: At the time of each motion detection, the countdown will start from the beginning.

The result of the described steps:

Each time the sensor detects movement, the lamp will turn on. 5 minutes after the last detection of movement, the lamp will go out.
