Setting up Amazon Alexa

Controllers of the Atom series support the function of voice control of devices using the Amazon Alexa service.

To set up the integration, you need to install the Amazon Alexa app. There are already created rooms in the application. If necessary, the user can create rooms immediately after installation, or already in the process of setting up the integration.
IMPORTANT! Make sure that Amazon Alexa mobile application supports the language you would like to use it with and is available in your region.

Adding an integration

● Open the Amazon Alexa app● Go to the Devices tab● Click on Your Smart Home Skills● Click Enable Smart Home Skills

Integration with i3 Engineering

● In the list that opens, select i3 Engineering● Click Enable To Use● Enter your username and password to access your i3 Engineering account● Confirm access for integration

Adding devices

● All devices created in the i3 Enginnering account will be automatically added to the system● Click Next● Select the desired device from the list● Click Set Up Device● Add a device to a room or group

Assignment of voice commands

● Select voice commands from the proposed list● Click Next● Commands for controlling the device are created● Click Continue

Repeat steps 3-4 to configure other devices.

The result of the described steps:

Now you can control devices not only from the i3 Home application, but also from Amazon Alexa, including using voice commands, indicating the device and the action it should perform. In addition, it is very convenient to use "smart" speakers of the Amazon Echo series for voice control.
