Connecting devices
via matter protocol (Google home)

The integration of Atom controllers with Google Home-based system can be achieved using the Matter protocol. Data exchange in this case occurs between the Atom Extension Matterand the Matter Hub. The following devices can be used as the Matter Hub: Nest Audio, Nest Hub (2nd generation), Nest Hub Max, Nest Mini, or Nest Wi-Fi Pro. The setup procedure for these devices is detailed on the website https://support.google.com

1

Setting up Matter Hub

Set up the Matter Hub according to the user guide (you need to provide the account and configure the network).

Important! The Matter Hub, Atom Matter Bridge, and the device used for setup must be connected to a 2.4GHz WiFi network.

2

Connecting the Atom Matter Bridge

Install the Atom Extension Matter in the electrical panel. Connect it to the Atom controllers using the i3-NET (CAN) and power it on.
Using Matter protocol, you can add the following devices:● Lighting: LED lamps, standard lamps, dimmable lamps, DALI lamps.● Sockets, fans, extractors (adjustable fans and extractors), garage doors, and electric locks with pulse control.● 0-10V/1-10V Interface Devices: Lighting, motors, fans.● LED Strips: Single-color/RGB/RGBW.● Modbus Protocol Devices: Lighting, temperature sensors, humidity sensors, precipitation sensors, light sensors, tilt sensors, open/close sensors, leak sensors, motion sensors, smoke sensors, atmospheric pressure sensors.● Sensors: Light sensors, motion sensors, open/close sensors (reed switches), leak sensors, smoke sensors, precipitation sensors, all types of temperature sensors - 1-Wire, NTC, PT.● Thermostats: Cooling, heating, PID.

Note: Using the Atom Matter Bridge, you can transfer up to 120 devices configured on Atom controllers(in i3 Home App) to the Matter Hub. Using Matter protocol, you can add the following devices:

Repeat steps 3-4 to configure the placement of other devices.

Important! The Matter Hub, Atom Matter Bridge, and the device used to configure the system must all be connected to a 2.4GHz WiFi network.

After connecting all devices, they will appear on the dashboard of the Google Home app.

Note: Some devices may not immediately appear in Google Home. Some may appear over time, while others might only show up after restarting the Atom Extension Matterand Matter Hub.

Result of the described steps:

Devices configured in i3 Home App. will appear on the Google Home dashboard. If a new device is configured on the controller after connecting and setting up the Atom Matter Bridge, and if there is still space available on the Matter Bridge, it will be created in Google Home when automatic configuration is selected. If a device is removed, it will become inactive in Google Home.

Important! Automations are not transferred from the controller (i3 Home App.) to the Matter Hub. They are configured separately, so it is necessary to ensure that there are no conflicts between the configured automations.

To unpair the Atom Matter Bridge, press and hold the button through the hole on the front cover of the device for 5 seconds. To restart the Atom Matter Bridge, disconnect the device from the power supply.
