Setting the thermostat (cooling and heating)

For the convenience of setting the temperature in the room where there is equipment for heating and cooling, you can use a thermostat, which can simultaneously set 2 temperature values for the respective modes.

1

Create a new thermostat

● In the Dashboard window, and at the bottom right, select Automations● To create a new automation, click on the "+" icon● In the list that appears, select Thermostat

Note: In order to be able to set the thermostat, at least 1 temperature sensor must be configured in the system.

2

Select the type of thermostat

● Select the type of thermostat Standard (Comparator)

3

Select the operating mode and temperature

● Specify both operating modes: "Heating" and "Cooling"

4

Select the temperature for heating and cooling modes

● Specify the desired heating temperature and the cooling temperature in the room. This temperature will be maintained immediately by the respective actuators after saving the thermostat settings. It can be easily changed later

Important! The heating temperature must be at least 2 degrees higher than the cooling temperature, otherwise, taking into account the hysteresis, there may be a situation where the heating and cooling device are working at the same time.

5

Select a temperature sensor

● Select the temperature sensor from which the thermostat will receive room temperature data

6

Selecting actuators and devices

● Select actuators for cooling and heating, which will be controlled by a thermostat to maintain the desired temperature

7

Choose the name of the thermostat and room

● Enter the name of the thermostat and the room in which it will be used

Important! Normally closed or normally open thermal heads can be used in heating and cooling systems. If you use normally open thermal heads, in the advanced settings of the output to which they are connected, you need to select Invert.

8

Advanced thermostat settings

● Select the gear icon (advanced settings)
● If necessary, change the default value:- Hysteresis - the maximum deviation from the set temperature- Startup value - is the default value that will be set after reboot- Update period - the interval at which the thermostats will update the room temperature data
● Save the settings by clicking on the "Save" icon

Note: You can go to Advanced Thermostat Settings after completing the general setting process. To do this, hold the extended information menu for a long time on the thermostat card. Then click "three dots" (Configuration) in the upper right corner. Select the gear icon (advanced settings).

Note: In order to maintain the ability to control the thermostat in different ways, the set operating mode is maintained until the next change. For example, if according to the schedule the thermostat at 11:00 sets the temperature at 18 ° C, at 12:00 - 22 ° C, and at 11:20 you turn off the thermostat from the mobile application - it will be turned off until 12 o'clock.

Important! If for various reasons (line failure, sensor failure, etc.) the controller cannot receive data from the sensor, the thermostat will be inactive. This will disable the control of the corresponding peripheral device.

The result of the described steps:

An algorithm will be created in the system to maintain the set temperature in the room. The thermostat can be seen in the Dashboard, in the selected Room and in Automations, in the Thermostat tab.
