Automation of Air Conditioning and Heating in an IT Company Office
2026 – Commercial Real Estate
An office of approximately 900 m² equipped with an air conditioning system required more efficient climate control.
The project aimed to automate the control of HVAC equipment, optimize its operation, and reduce unnecessary electricity consumption.
An automation system based on i3 Engineering Ferrum N + R12 was implemented at the facility, integrating the HVAC equipment via Modbus.
The system provides:● automatic shutdown of air conditioners outside working hours;● maintenance of the set temperature throughout the working day;● control of individual zones;● remote control via a mobile app.
As a result, the HVAC equipment operates according to predefined logic and schedules, without the need for constant manual supervision.
Results
The impact of the automation system is confirmed by actual electricity consumption data.
Over the three summer months of June, July, and August, the facility consumed:● 9,525 kWh in 2025;● 7,384 kWh during the same period in 2026.
−22.5% / −2,141 kWh compared to 2025.
The result: reduced electricity consumption, automated climate control, and convenient remote management.
